McIntyre Tate LLP partner David J. Strachman recently obtained a successful
ruling in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of American terrorist
victims. Previously, at the district court, he obtained an attachment of
almost $9,000,000 in Iranian assets held by an American defense contractor,
Cubic Defense Systems, which was due to be paid to the Islamic Republic
of Iran. The decision in
Cubic v. Islamic Republic of Iran is part of a decade-long struggle to obtain satisfaction of a $200,000,000
judgment Strachman obtained in 2004 from the Washington federal district
court on behalf of nine American terrorism victims of a triple suicide
bombing committed by HAMAS in downtown Jerusalem.
