Nicholas Hunt
Nicholas T. Hunt is a Senior Associate at McIntyre Tate LLP who represents individuals, families, and businesses in complex civil litigation and family law matters. He appears regularly before the Rhode Island Superior and Family Courts in Providence, Kent, Washington, and Newport Counties. He has also contributed to briefing and other matters before the Rhode Island Supreme Court.
In his commercial litigation practice, Nick represents businesses and individuals in disputes involving contracts, insurance bad faith, media liability, and defamation. He has argued matters on the Rhode Island Superior Court’s civil and dispositive motion calendars and represents clients throughout the litigation process, from early case assessment and discovery through motion practice, negotiation, and trial.
Nick’s family law practice includes divorce, child custody disputes, post-judgment modifications, matters arising under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and child support. He helps clients evaluate their options and pursue practical solutions through discovery, negotiation, and, when necessary, trial in the Rhode Island Family Court.
Nick is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and before the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. His published work and continuing legal education presentations reflect his sustained engagement with developments in family law, evidence, appellate practice, and courtroom technology.
Nick earned his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Rhode Island. He is active in his community and, outside the office, enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
