    Laura E. Ruzzo

Associate Rhode Island Family Law Attorney

Prior to joining the firm, Laura was an associate at the law firm of Atwood & Cherny, P.C. in Boston, Massachusetts where she practiced matrimonial law exclusively. As an associate, Laura represented diverse clientele in complex divorce and custody cases. Laura drafted an appellate brief regarding an issue of first impression in Massachusetts. As a result of her involvement in the case, Laura was asked by the Boston Bar Association to speak at a lecture titled “Child Support Beyond High School and Age 18” in February 2014.

Dedicated to Our Rhode Island Clients

As a Rhode Island native, Laura was eager to return to Rhode Island and joined the firm as an associate in August 2015. Laura continues to focus her practice in all areas of matrimonial law including divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, premarital and post-marital agreements, and post-divorce matters. Laura is licensed to practice law in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Laura is a 2007 graduate (magna cum laude) of Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her law degree (cum laude) from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA in 2011. While at Suffolk Law, Laura served as the Executive Editor of the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy.
